Description

Tia Gardeco Cast Iron and Steel Chim Stove 64x42x137cm Black with Removable Hotplate.
A specially designed connection unit designed to fit between the top bowl and funnel of the Tia Chimenea transforms the conventional chimenea into the chim stove outdoor cooker. The chim stove unit comes with a large removable cast iron hotplate, ribbed for easy barbecuing on one side and flat to use as a plancha or hob on the other. Remove the hotplate to place, for example, a wok or the Gardeco cook cauldron accessory directly over the fire.
The cast iron hotplate is situated directly above the heat of the fire to ensure rapid heating and maximum heat transfer for cooking. The smoke is diverted sideways and exits via the funnel. Easy to install, simply remove the Tia funnel and place the unit in position on the top bowl and fix the nuts and bolts. Refit the funnel to the side outlet of the Chim-Stove, light the fire and you are ready to cook. Comes complete with swivelling BBQ grill, mesh guard, rain lid, side handles and solid cast iron legs for increased stability and support. Supplied securely boxed and packaged with instructions for easy assembly.

Dimensions shown in the main heading are (Dia.) x (Height)cm
Optional Extra: Shaped Woven Polyethylene Chimenea Cover - Please inquire for details.

CAST Iron is more resistant than clay or even steel, can stand much higher fire temperatures without cracking, is unaffected by frost and a greater variety of fuels used. However, it is important to remember:
1. Cast iron is prone to rust and will need regular re-painting if rust is to be avoided.
2. Never leave a fire unattended and always observe instructions for use and safety procedures including guidelines, particulary when children are about.
3. Metal surfaces become very hot when in use and will burn the skin if touched.
4. Steel parts and components will rust but corrosion will not affect use.
5. Metal parts can be re-painted.

THERE is a comprehensive range of fireside accessories, tools and safety products such as chimenea guards, floor protectors, covers, gloves, fire blankets, poker etc. available from store.
